Is it better to pray aloud?

In the debate of whether it is better to pray silently or aloud, let us consider, it is best simply to pray. The rest is a matter of comfort to the one praying. All too often we worry out loud and call this prayer. Prayer should be a supplication of desires, a setting them aside so they do not get in the way of what is best for each of us. Desire is a good thing, it is a natural occurrence in life, but it is not helpful to  let such feelings get in the way of a true blessing. When we prescribe results we narrow corridor through which payer manifests. When we pray, it is good to pray for specifics but it is ultimately best to leave the results to the one or ones to whom we pray.  “However, in your infinite wisdom, not my will but yours, be done in me and through me,” keeps open the paths to that which is best for each of us. And, yes, when comfortable, the spoken prayer, the word, carries a higher vibration than the thought. For, in a material world, thoughts are elevated by words and words are enlivened by deeds.
