Letter: April 2010
We have spent far, far more time, by material standards, in those finer realms that surround materiality than we have in the earth. Have you wondered how life would be if we could recall our experience in other realms? We have each experienced many incarnations in matter, and most likely on every continent on the planet. Have you ever thought what a difference it would make if we could remember our past lives in the earth? The precious angels that minister to us always, continually whisper the secrets of heaven and earth into the recesses of our mind. Have you ever wished we could hear them audibly? We have psychics, mediums, seers and prophets aplenty, so why cannot we see, hear, remember and know?
We presume that more information makes life easier. As a result we regret not remembering the fullness of our experiences, and look upon this as a handicap. However, we may wish to consider, recollection of those experiences will not add a single inch to our stature, but what we do with regard to what we are aware of will make an aspiring soul soar. We often evaluate our life by the quantity of our experiences when the true measure of success lies in how we choose to live them. We have all that we require to experience the next moment in excellence, and that may well be all we really have need of this day. If our focus is on the experience at hand, not past or even future events, it becomes easier by far to concentrate on the quality of our response. Our gracious Lord, who is the perfection of mercy, has promised we would never have to deal with more than we already have the ability to handle well. How much more do we need? If we do not already believe the promises of Infinite Loving Kindness, no hindsight or foresight will change this.
Each and every one of us has the ability to act in accordance to that pattern of perfection we call God’s will, imbued within all of our experiences. Here, the answer resides within the question, the solution within the problem. This is God’s promise to each of us; that within everything we face is the pattern for the perfect response. And, this pattern we call God’s will, is tailor made for each of us. If we wish a life lived in excellence we must first desire this above all things. For only such dedication will supply the energy to carry us through the storms we call our challenges. Next, we must believe our infinitely loving God, and take Him at His word. If we cannot believe our Lord, what else is trust for? Finally, we are to focus on where are, and what is at hand; not allowing forgetfulness to enter in when our attention wanders.
We are indeed all that we have ever been; the product of all of our experiences, and whether we remember it or not in no way changes who and what we are. When we meet life’s challenges, let us look to our hearts for direction and to our minds for application. If we are clear, if we desire God’s will in our activities, if we believe in God’s promises, and we do not allow our attention to wander, we have set the stage for excellence in our lives.
May God bless you in every way, and may your trust in Him rise ever closer to His trust in you.
